The coders were pupils from the Centre of Science and Technology School (Cosat). They are part of Girl Hype, an initiative that helps empower young women and girls with media education skills.

Yesterday, at the meet and greet workshop held at the Look Out Hill in Khayelitsha, the girls gave presentations for Ramani.

TheTwitter executive was also joined by 40 women from TechWomen, an international organisation that empowers, connects and supports women leaders in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. – Cape Argus, http://goo.gl/PGwQPY
